So it finally feels like Spring may be in the air, so we thought it a good time to remind you that we have now set submission dates for the Quality Mark for the coming year. There are now 12 youth work organisations that have achieved the Bronze award and we hope to increase that number over the coming year. Our next deadline to submit for the Quality Mark is Monday 23rd April. We are also recruiting new assessors, with applications also needed by 23rd April. Self-Assessment
There are three opportunities to submit a self-assessment for the Quality Mark. They are:
- 23rd April
- 11th June
- 12th October
Please get in touch with us at qualitymark@atkinassociates.co.uk if you are starting work on your Quality Mark self-assessment so that we can discuss the best way to carry out your self-assessment and a realistic timescale for submission.
Assessors
We are now looking for new assessors to participate in this Professional Development Opportunity. If you are an experienced youth worker currently active in youth work in Wales, then please consider volunteering as an assessor for the coming year. We will provide training for the role and you will be supported to carry out 2 assessments of youth work provision during the year. The closing dates for the assessor recruitment are:
- Monday 23rd April and assessor training will take place on Tuesday 1st May
- Monday 11th June and assessor training will take place on 26th June
We are looking forward to another year of meeting with young people; youth workers and visiting some excellent youth work projects and teams in Wales.
