As a company we are youth and children’s services specialists and have extensive
experience of evaluating services, creating strategies and innovative solutions with a wide range
of local authorities, voluntary sector and national organisations.
We are experienced at service transformation and bring together teams of experts who
understand your business needs and will work with you to create new entities and approaches at
this time of financial constraint. We can include legal and accountancy partners as part of our
team to suit your needs.
Providing external challenge, we lead quality reviews, conduct audits and develop improvement
strategies in a variety of youth and children’s services settings, with a focus on new models for
practice and improved service delivery. Working with local authorities in England, we have
provided improvement work with Dudley Council Early Help teams and developed a participation
strategy for Children’s Services; we completed a review of thresholds for Early Help in Solihull
commissioned by the Local Safeguarding Board and improvement work with Cumbria Council
Leaving Care Service. Louise is currently leading on the roll-out of training for the YPQI across the UK.
Louise was an Ofsted additional inspector for 9 years and has led the company to carry out quality assurance and quality improvement work in a range of children’s and youth sector services.
Atkin Associates managed the Quality Mark for Youth in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government 2016-2019. Louise is now supporting the YPQI quality improvement programme across the four nations of the UK, to support youth workers to improve the quality of the services and precision they offer to young people.
